Audio: HOW IT FELT PLAYING SOLD OUT SHOW AT THE RYMAN AUDITORIUM

“How’d it feel playing a sold-out show at The Ryman? It is the most incredible feeling I’ve ever had. I’m still coming down from that high. It was such a full-circle moment for my career. I’ve been to so many shows, seeing so many bands I look up to, and to get to stand on that stage with my family in the crowd, with my best friends in the crowd, was everything to me. It was a full-circle moment like I said, and to have my brother standing on stage playing with me was everything. It was an absolute dream come true.

“Having Seaforth, Chris young and my girlfriend Meghan Patrick was incredible. That’s what Nashville is all about. Nashville is home to country music. It is Music City for a reason and so we wanted to make that show extra special. So to have those friends show up, take time out of their day to do that meant everything in the world for me. That shows you the kind heart that they have, but also shows you what Nashville Tennessee is all about, and that’s my hometown. I couldn’t be more proud that we got the show out that night.”

Audio: MITCHELL TENPENNY ON WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE RAISED OVER 30K FOR THE TENPENNY FUND

“What does it mean to have raised over 30 grand for the 10Penny fund? Again, that is absolutely everything to me. That’s another part of Nashville that a lot of people don’t see. We are a very giving city. We come together when we need to, when times are tough, we come together. When the tornadoes happen, when the flood happened, when we need to raise money to help fight cancer, people bond and come together in Nashville, Tennessee, more than I’ve ever seen it. And that’s exactly what happened that night. I’m just so proud to have had everyone show up to that VIP to help change lives. It was an incredible moment for me and to hold that check to see that amount of money going towards that fund, going towards actually helping people is a very humbling, very humbling experience that I’ll never forget. I will cherish it forever and I’m just very blessed. And God bless Nashville, Tennessee, and everyone who donated.”
