Arista Nashville captivating new talent Morgan Wade is kicking off the holiday season in style, releasing two new Christmas songs today. 

The festive offerings include “I’ll Be Home for Christmas,” featuring Wade’s signature “raspy soprano drenched in twang” (Slant) and a bluesy homage to one of her musical heroes, Elvis, with “Santa Claus is Back In Town.” 

Wade, who released one of the year’s best reviewed projects with her debut album Reckless, was recently named Best Country Newcomer in the Nashville Scene’s 2021 Best of Nashville issue. The weekly celebrates, “Reckless brings together perceptive, confessional songwriting, pop flair and straight-up country-rock, yielding a polished but unpretentious sound” that establishes Wade as “a promising talent whose potential seems to know no bounds.” Her debut single “Wilder Days” recently hit radio with 41 first week stations on board, the second largest add week for a debut single this year. 

The Virginia native is currently on the road with Lucero on the band’s fall tour. She’ll perform tonight at Skully’s Music Diner in Columbus, OH.
