audio  Miranda Lambert shares a little bit of the inspiration behind her Grammy nominated song “Tin Man.” (:34)
“Whatever influenced you the most, at whatever time in your life, somewhere or another comes out in your art. The Tin Man. I guess, going through a lot of times where I felt empty, I understood a whole new meaning, I mean, how many times have we seen The Wizard Of Oz, but it’s something that world shares…everyone knows what the Tin Man represents–cold, and empty, and loneliness, and heartless…and it just opened my eyes to it even more going through pain myself, you know, sort of an epiphany”

audio  Kenny Chesney thinks that his Grammy nominated Cosmic Hallelujah is a fun album! (:46)
“This is a fun record to listen to. There’s not a lot of dull moments in this record. It does take you on a journey and that’s the thing I love about Cosmic Hallelujah is it takes you on a journey. There’s, even the ballads move. Even the ballads in my opinion move and take you and sweep you into this one place. There’s not a lot of ho hum on Cosmic Hallelujah…really, I don’t believe, and I think that that’s the beauty of it. I think that it’s going to translate very well into the live environment, which in the end…I mean this is why we do the live environment is because you make the records, somebody lives with it, somebody takes it and applies it to their life and then they want to come and see the live version of that, and I think about that all the time.”

audio  Grammy nominee Maren Morris talks about getting back into the right mindset to sing “I Could Use A Love Song.” (:43)
“I think any time I sing a song, especially if I have written it and its from my heart, there is sort of this acting mentality you go into when you sing the song. At least for me personally, especially when that first cord hits of ‘I Could Use a Love Song’ I immediately snap back to the day that I wrote it and that’s not always easy to do but to really make it believable to myself and really have an emotional performance of it I’ve just sort of reverted to going back to the day I wrote it and the feelings that I had in a healthy way you can’t dive back in to that heartache too much but just enough to get a great performance out of it.”
