SETH ENNIS: Be Yourself In Nashville

Seth Ennis might be new to the country music family, but he has vowed to stay unique and create the kind of music that he feels most comfortable with. Seth says, “I think what I learned pretty quickly was to just like forget about what you think you know and just humble yourself. Let all genre borders fall down and just do what comes natural.” Seth admits that he has a lot of genre influences on his upcoming album including hints of pop and classic rock. Seth says that he has learned to embrace his musical uniqueness. He urges other up-and-coming country artists to write and record what comes natural to them. Seth recently released his debut EP- Mabelle featuring his single “Woke Up In Nashville.” Seth has a busy year ahead of him and country music fans can see him on tour with Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Billy Currington and Luke Bryan. “I think when I moved to town something I had to learn pretty quick was a lot of times you hear this phrase from writers like ‘write for the radio, write what you hear on the radio’ but to me when you do that, then by the time it’s even at a spot where you can pitch it to an artist or it goes to radio, it’s already old. I think what I learned pretty quickly was to just like forget about what you think you know and just humble yourself. Let all genre borders fall down and just do what comes natural. Like what do you feel? How do you express yourself? Because the only thing that is going to be unique about your song writing is when you do exactly what you do. Because you are unique.”
