“I wrote “Slow Down” with Thomas Archer, Kyle Fishman, and Michael Tyler. We wanted to capture the feeling of seeing someone you loved move on quickly and the pain of not being able to get them off your mind. It’s a story that I think a lot of people can relate to — that classic small-town experience where, after a breakup, there’s no escaping the memories. In a town that small, they follow you around everywhere, no matter where you go.

I love the vibe and the beat behind this song. It’s also a chance for my fans to hear something musically different from what I’ve released in the past, with more variety and depth to my sound. Writing songs that people can connect with is one of my favorite things to do, and I think most people have been through something like this at some point.” – Zach John King
