“Every man in America knows what I’m talkin’ about. I talk about this on stage every night. I’m just like, ‘How many y’all are married?’ And they raise their hand. ‘How many y’all got a girlfriend with you? Well, how many times you walk in the bathroom and there’s stuff scattered everywhere and she’s got clothes and dresses scattered, and you know, she’s got, you know, lipstick layin’ over here, and it’s like, just craziness, just madness, women madness. But they’re still sexy. And that’s what we call a ‘hot mess,’ so, a sexy woman that can be a little crazy sometimes.”

“They know they’re hot messes. I mean, they know it. Their girlfriends’ll tell ’em, ‘You are a hot mess.’ They’ll even call guys that. Don’t let ‘em fool ya. I mean, they think…they know that that’s what we think is sexy, and they like it. It’s…for some reason, it’s cool to be a hot mess. And I, you know, it talks about a sundress and stuff, and that fits me because that is my favorite thing. If I could see a girl in anything, it would probably be a sundress.”

“I don’t like some girl that tries to be perfect. I like ‘em a little, you know, rough around the edges. And that’s attractive to me, and I think it’s attractive to a lot of guys, country men, around the world. You know, that’s appealing in some, you know, weird way.”
