TYLER FARR: Cats, Chickens, and Nigerian Dwarf Pygmy Goats…Oh My

audio

A couple of years ago Tyler Farr brought his first home in Tennessee, finding a town, where the “Our Town” singer would make his new hometown. The house came with a lot of land that would allow Tyler to have a few furry friends run around. When his then girlfriend, now his wife, Hannah moved in, he knew it would make her happy to have some animals, so with that in mind Tyler went out and got some cats, some chickens…and some Nigerian dwarf pygmy goats, who seem to love head butting each other and eat poison ivy. All the additions to the farm made Hannah happy, but Tyler admits the one downside of all those animals running around is the amount of poop he has to deal with on his front and back porch. Although, the real question is…where do you get a pair of Nigerian dwarf pygmy goats in middle Tennessee? Craig’s list, of course.

“She (Hannah) likes a lot of animals and I thought it would be a good idea to surprise her and got her a couple cats, a couple Nigerian dwarf pygmy goats, some chickens, and then there’s poop all over our front and back porch daily. Everywhere. It’s like someone spilled a bag of brown M&M’s every morning. Terrible.”

“Found em on Craig’s list. They were over by me, and she picks out these pygmy goats from Nigeria and we go pick em up. Watch em head-butt each other. That’s the most entertaining thing I see’em do. Yep, they eat poison ivy and head-butt each other.”
