“So Real Real Country came about a year ago, I started writing it. And I was just messing around kind of joking seeing how wild I could get with that verse phrase, and it almost sounds like a hip hop song in a way. But I joked around with it, and then I just kept singing it. And I was like, that’s actually pretty good. So it took me a year to write the chorus. And then I finally got around to going down to Dallas to record it. And the direction we’re taking the music now is quite a bit different than what we had been recording.
