audio  Trisha Yearwood remembers being parked in front of the TV for her yearly chance to watch her favorite Christmas special. (:29)
“Our kids will never understand that…for me, it was the Rudolph: it was Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. That was the one. Just waiting and waiting and sittin’ in front of the TV to watch that show. That’s my favorite. And they also I don’t think really appreciate, you know, they’re like ,’Well, what’s the big deal?’ I mean it’s…’cause the claymation was really a big deal then, but it’s not so much now. And you know, Santa was kind of mean to Rudolph in that one, you know, you kind of watch it like, ‘This is…I don’t know,’ and I’m like, ‘This is classic Christmas TV, kids!’ (laughs) You know?”
