“To try to communicate a language that belongs to someone else is hard… to try to touch them in something that’s not what you do or not how you speak or not how you talk.  And, if you can do that and if you can reach out across a language barrier and put the effort in to do that and to try to touch somebody and try to make someone understand that your trying to love them through a song… if you can do that and make that work and make people feel it, I mean that’s a pretty cool thing to be able to do and a pretty cool thing to have that dialogue back and forth with someone. And, music is a universal language. I mean, you can hear love translated into just about any language in the world and I think you’ll understand what love means if you hear that word in any language in the world.  And, I think this song really opens itself up to that and if you can reach in and touch someone with their own language when it’s not yours… I mean that’s kind of cool.  And to be in a position to be able to give it a shot- it may not be perfect, my accent may not be perfect, my lilt may not be perfect, but I think you feel where I coming from.”
