It’s my first time to miss ACMs in 17 years so my heart’s a little broken, but I’m happy to be where I am. I’ve been waiting for this for a really really long time I actually never thought it would happen.

Question: “After five consecutive wins, is there ever any fear of not winning one of these years?”
Old Dominion: “Every year this continues I feel like we get more nervous. You know, it’s just something that we never expect to win. It’s just, there’s so much talent and it’s insane that we would win this thing five years in a row. So, you know, we’re still ready for people to be like, okay, you’re done, but we’re gonna keep pushing until until that happens.”

Question: “Take us back to your first ACM win, what was going through your mind?”
Old Dominion: There was this great moment that well, first of all, that was like the moment that we first realized how many people were working so hard and believed in us. You know, we sort of had this self preservation thing going on where we just had our blinders on to that. But there was one of the women who work for our record label, there’s a video of it that gets posted every year. And she had a drink in her hand. And when they announced that we won, she threw it into the air and just soaked everyone around her. But that was what really showed us like, this is more than about the five of us. You know, it was just there’s a whole team of people who really believe in us and work really hard for us. So it was really meaningful to us to see that and that first time.”

Nashville, Tenn. – Sony Music Nashville earned three trophies during the 57th ACM Awards Monday, tying for the most wins of any label group.

Miranda Lambert won the night’s top honor for the first time, extending her reign as the most decorated artist in ACM history and qualifying her for the ACM Triple Crown Award for having won Top New Female Vocalist, Female Artist, and Entertainer of the Year in her illustrious career. She is the eighth artist ever to earn this distinction.

Kane Brown performed his brand-new song “Leave You Alone” for the first time during the broadcast from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

Elle King and Lambert were early winners of the day as their Top 10 collaboration “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” earned Video of the Year. This is the pair’s second joint win, previously taking home Music Event of the Year in 2020 for “Fooled Around and Fell In Love.”

Maren Morris performed her new single “Circles Around This Town” from her upcoming album Humble Quest.

Old Dominion took home their fifth consecutive Group of the Year Award, the longest winning streak in the category since 2008.

Chris Young was joined by Mitchell Tenpenny for their new single “At the End of a Bar” before performing his No. 1 hit “Raised on Country.”

Rising artists Kat & Alex and Tenille Townes performed during the Official ACM Awards Red Carpet Pre-Show with their new releases “I Want It All” and “When’s It Gonna Happen,” respectively.
