SETH ENNIS: Just Like Family

audio

Seth Ennis thinks this is a great time to be in country music. Along with all the musical styles that he can explore creatively, there’s also a bond between the “newer” singers that creates a family like atmosphere. While Seth is out there traveling the country, introducing himself and his song “Woke Up In Nashville” he knows that he can check in with his friend and fellow artists, like Luke Combs. Seth says that “It’s cool that it’s like a family environment, we kind of push one another, and text back and forth all the time, cause you know, I’m on a radio tour, Luke’s (Combs) starting to do radio tour stuff, and all that. He’ll text me ‘How ya doing buddy?’ And I’ll text him to see how he’s doing.” All that connectivity means that country music is in goods with a bright future with some very talented newcomers.

“I think there’s so much good music out there right now, and people are…I feel like, there’s a time right now, especially in our format where people are starting to feel more comfortable with just expressing themselves, whatever that might be. I mean, look at a guy like Sam Hunt, he stepped out on a limb way far, by doing all the talkie stuff that he does, and to see people grab onto that and just respond so well, it gives newer guys like me a ton of courage to step out and try my own thing. But I feel like we’re all kind of coming up in this together. It’s cool that it’s like a family environment, we kind of push one another, and text back and forth all the time, cause you know, I’m on a radio tour, Luke’s (Combs) starting to do radio tour stuff, and all that. He’ll text me ‘How ya doing buddy?’ And I’ll text him to see how he’s doing. It’s like that with a bunch of my friends.”
