SETH ENNIS: Finding His Sound

Seth Ennis is rooted in country music, but he does admit that his music, like his song “Woke Up In Nashville” does take some influence from other genres. That’s because Seth wanted to stay as authentic, and he “just wrote what came natural to me because I wanted to do something different and unique.” There’s no doubt he’s country, but he also shares that “there’s also little elements of R&B and there’s elements of classic rock and new rock and hard rock.” Mixing all those elements together is what led Seth to finding his sound–and you can here that sound on Seth’s EP Mabelle which features his single “Woke Up In Nashville.”

“When I feel like I started finding my sound was I just didn’t really think or care about, in a respectful way, I didn’t think about genre borders or anything like that. I just wrote what came natural to me because I wanted to do something different and unique. It is country because of the lyric and how I talk. It’s in my voice when I sing and I love country music but there’s also little elements of R&B and there’s elements of classic rock and new rock and hard rock, so I’m really excited about it.”
