PISTOL ANNIES: Family Matters

Pistol Annies are back! Ashley Monroe, Angaleena Presley, and Miranda Lambert are poised to hit the airwaves with their incredible new single, a song called “Hush Hush.” Ashley and Angaleena say it’s a song that seemed to flow pretty easily for the trio, who found a little truth in each of their own family experiences to come up with the song’s portrayal of the crazy things that families do, but won’t tell. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

audio  Pistol Annies’ Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley talk about the making of the trio’s new single, “Hush Hush.” (:18)
Ashley: “We were in the studio. It was like the second day of recording, and Angaleena came in with ‘Hush Hush,’ like the melody, the first verse, all of it. It wasn’t finished, so we’re like, ‘How ’bout every verse is about each of our families, like, each of our stuff?’ And…”
Angaleena: “Yeah.”
Ashley: “…we wrote it real fast, and then went in and recorded it.”
Angaleena: “Cut it that day.”
