Angaleena
: “I had never met Miranda, and she had already decided that we were in a girl band, and ain’t nobody gettin’ out, and we’re gonna make it happen. We did; we made it happen.”
Miranda: “Ashley and I are really…we’re really strong harmony singers, so we just figured between two of us singin’ harmony and somebody singin’ lead, we could make it work. (laughs) But it’s cool ’cause we all have a blend, and we all sing different parts. Like, you know, there’s some songs where each of us takes a verse, there’s some where just Ash sings or just Ang sings or just I sing, and people find parts around it.”
Angaleena: “And I wasn’t a great harmony singer before I met them because I kind of had written for years, and I wrote a lot by myself, so if I got this opportunity…so I downloaded an Everly Brothers record and listened to it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. Finally, I kind of started hearin’ it, and Miranda was like, ‘You can do it! All you have to do is just hear it! It’s there, in your head!’ And they helped me, and I’m decent at it now. So…”
Ashley: “You’re doin’ real good.”
Angaleena: “I do it enough to fake it at least!” (laughs)
Ashley: “No, it’s real.”
