Pistol Annies — Angaleena Presley, Ashley Monroe, and Miranda Lambert — are out now with their new album’s first single, “Hush Hush,” and part of what makes the song so much fun is that it found its inspiration from the Annies’ own family experiences. Ashley: “It’s very sarcastic. I think it’s a little jab. I’m excited for I know who I wrote, you know, about in my verse — I’m excited for them to hear it. I really am! I think it’s cool that somebody needs to be called out on all the…just all the silliness and just talk about it.”
Miranda: “It’s everybody’s family.”
Ashley: “It is. Everybody’s got it.”
Miranda: “It’s everybody’s crap. You know, ’cause everybody’s got crap to hide, and why hide it?”
