Congrats to Old Dominion on their two CMA Award nominations! When the nominees for this year’s show were announced, Old Dominion was mentioned in the Vocal Group Of The Year, and New Artist categories. hat led to a very early wake up call for the guys, who are in Alaska right now!  As they were traveling today, Matthew (lead singer of Old Dominion) updated us from the airport saying that “it’s a pretty amazing way to wake up with your phone just kind of blowing up with ‘Congrats’ ya know from all your friends.” He went on to say that being nominated in a  big deal and to get “two nominations for a band like us means the world.” The CMA Awards will be celebrating their 50th year, when the show airs on ABC on Wednesday, November 2nd, live from Nashville, Tennessee.

“We’re in Alaska, and ya know so there’s quite a big time difference, and it’s a pretty amazing way to wake up with your phone just kind of blowing up with ‘Congrats’ ya know from all your friends and people that you work with so ya know. It’s the CMA’s, it’s a big deal and ya know two nominations for a band like us means the world, so were in some pretty incredible company. So, yeah it’s a pretty nice wake up call.”
