This past weekend Kenny Chesney‘s Spread the Love tour kicked off in Auburn. For the second summer in a row Old Dominion will be joining Kenny on the road, and Matthew from Old Dominion says that the guys couldn’t be happier. Matthew compared the start of the tour to a homecoming where you get to see family and friends again. The main difference between last year, and this summer for the guys…more people showing up early to hear them open the concert. “Playing that first show with Kenny in Auburn was you know, it was amazing for us to be to be back. It felt a lot like coming home to us because we spent a lot of time last summer with him and his whole crew. We got back there and was all smiles and hugs and good to see you like seeing your family. It just set the right vibe, it is the Spread the Love tour, and that’s the right vibe for that tour, so we just had a blast. The fact that so many more people were there for our set this year, we just can’t wait to get out there, and we’re so much more excited to get out there this year than we we’re last year and last year we we’re just elated so it’s gonna be a great tour an amazing summer.”
