Matthew Ramsey:
You got a good memory of a boat.

Brad Tursi: I got a good memory of a boat. There was one time I had a little sailboat and I was out there all by myself on the lake in Nashville and I fell off the boat with the engines still on and the boat was gone. I didn’t know what I was going to do I was swimming around to an island I thought I was maybe have to make a fort out or something like that. And then the boat came all the way around in a giant circle and somehow I grabbed on to it pull myself back up and… and now I’m here to tell a joke.

Matthew Ramsey: You named the boat after that, right?

Brad Tursi: Oh yeah, the boat is now called Boomerang or was. Now it has since been given to somebody else.

Story About Naming “Happy Endings” Album While On A Boat – Audio
Matthew Ramsey:
So another good boat story for us is that our album Happy Endings, which is our second album, we actually we actually came up with a name for that album on a boat in Key West. We were out there with a bunch of wonderful radio folks, and we were previewing our album, playing them new songs. We didn’t have a title yet. And there was a song on there called “So You Go” and we were debating on whether or not it was a happy ending or not. And then, you know, as things do, they get a little inappropriate. We start talking about happy endings. Happy ending, yes, no? And then we joked about naming the album that and we did. So there you go.
