One of my favorite memories I have with my mom is having her around when I got to sign my record deal. It was such a special moment for me and to be able to have her be a part of that was awesome.

Really great memory I have with my mom is the first time that I sold out Coyote Joe’s and Charlotte, brought her on stage introduced her to the crowd. I have a really great photo. That’s one of my favorite photos of me and her together.

So my mom’s an absolute angel. We filmed the Tennessee Orange music video right around Christmas. And that was when all the flights were getting canceled. So I had a flight that was supposed to get to Nashville at 3pm the day before. And around 9pm it finally got canceled and I was in Savannah, Georgia. But I needed to be in Nashville by 7:30am the next day. So without hesitation my mom came and picked me up from the airport and drove me through the night to Nashville. So shout out to you, mom. Thank you, love you.”

I’ve got a million special memories of my mom and dad but I think the best thing that they’ve ever done for me personally is going to all my games, all my shows, all my concerts, everything I did growing up. If I looked right they were right there watching the entire time. And as a kid that means everything to have the support of your parents, and my mom and dad were the best in the world at that.

Something that I’ve learned just from a lot of the women in my family. They’re just all really incredible. They always roll with the punches you know, starting with my grandmother. She you know, she had a pretty rough life but she’s got to be one of the most positive people I’ve ever met. And she’s just achieved so much so she’s one of my biggest supporters. And so, just hoping that maybe one day I can grow up be you know, half the woman that she is.

Me and my mom are very close. And you know she’s truly that person in my life who I know without a shadow of a doubt she’ll always be there in like the toughest times in my life. She is my rock and everything to me. And this last Mother’s Day, I finally wrote my mom a song and I ended up flying her out to Nashville, surprising her. We both cried our eyes out and it was a really special moment for the both of us. So, looking forward to more times with her out here and my mom just want to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. You’re rock stars.

Old Dominion

MOMS WEIGH IN ON MOTHER’S DAY

Susan Sprung, Geoff Sprung’s Mother: One of my proudest moments has Geoff’s mother, and my favorite concert experience can be answered together. At a concert, after completing Old Dominion’s performance, Geoff was in the roped off VIP area talking to a group of people I was a part of. There was a young man standing outside the VIP area. He saw Geoff and approached where we were unsure of himself, he walked away. He did this more than once. Geoff saw the young man and excused himself from the group he was in to walk over to where the young man was. He said to him, ‘How are you? Would you like to take a picture?’ The young man was so happy to witness Geoff’s acknowledgement in response to that one person who was struggling and the kindness he showed really was one of my proudest moments as Geoff’s mother.

Cindy Rosen, Trevor Rosen’s Mother: My most favorite concert experience seeing Trevor perform was the first time Old Dominion played with Kenny Chesney in Detroit. We had a ton of family and friends there, and everyone was so excited. You could feel all the love and support and was just so much fun. It’s definitely my favorite concert experience so far.

Liz Marlowe, Kameron Marlowe’s Mother: This was actually pretty recent, we had a show in Athens, Georgia. And since COVID, I had not saw a full band show in quite a while. We had, you know, just of course, had him home and just acoustically. And so it the venue actually had a little platform where I could stand above and see the crowd. It was a sold out show, which completely blew my mind. And just seeing everyone singing the words to his song, and knowing the words to his song was just kind of breathtaking. And it just kind of took me back to that day where he walked in my room with a guitar and said, I wrote the song. I want you to listen to it. What do you think? And he had never wrote a song before and he sat down and I was just blown away. And so you know, you kind of hear people singing back to him, you know those words that was, it comes took my breath away. Kind of gave me goosebumps.

Liz Marlowe, Kameron Marlowe’s Mother: We were at a town in the mountains just a couple months ago. And my best friend who’s been my best friend since middle school, Kameron had met us there for the weekend, just to see and we hadn’t saw him in a while. And we were sitting out waiting on our table outside and just a couple walked up and asked Are you Kameron Marlowe? And she and I looked at each other and was like, we almost squealed like we were teenage girls. And we were just like, ‘you know who he is?’ Like someone else just knows who he is. So that was probably you know, one of those moments where it kind of took my breath away like wow this is this is really happening people are- he’s reaching people with music.
