  • Congratulations to Kenny Chesney and Grace Potter, who picked up a GRAMMY® nomination on Wednesday for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their smash, “You and Tequila,” which also earned a nomination as Best Country Song for co-writers Matraca Berg and Deana Carter. In response to the GRAMMY news, Matraca playfully tweeted, “got a grammy nom. yay! maybe 3rd time is the charm? pleeezz…,” while Deana also took to Twitter to share her reaction, which really needs the photo to go along with her comments — check it out, right here. “You and Tequila” is just one of the favorites from Kenny’s Hemingway’s Whiskey album, also home to his newest hit, “Reality.”

  • And speaking of Kellie Pickler in this holiday season, Kellie was among the celebs offering TasteofCountry.com her thoughts on the best gifts to give, as she shared, “I think the greatest thing that you can give — and I know this might sound cliché — but the greatest thing you can give is your time somewhere. Helping people who might not have a Christmas.” Kellie says, “It’s always good to help give people who are less fortunate a better Christmas than they would have had had you not come along,” adding that she likes to be a bit of a secret “giver.” You can read all of Kellie’s comments and much more online here.
