MORE GOOD STUFF…with Miranda, Brad, Carrie, and The Henningsens!

  • Look for Miranda Lambert in a four-page spread in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, as the mag goes “3 Rounds with” Miranda at L.A.’s Good Luck Bar in a Q&A that spans everything from Carrie Underwood to deer steak! Asked whether she gets nervous in the days leading up to a new album release — like right now, with her new album, Platinum, out June 3rd — Miranda admitted that with everything else happening in her life, including her charity, her shoe line, boutiques, and more, it still comes down to the music, saying, “Oh, I freak out, just because it’s what drives my whole life. All of this other stuff is great, but none of it happens if the music isn’t there.” Check out the full feature in the May 9th issue of Entertainment Weekly, on sale now!
  • Radio.com offers a heartwarming story, as a P-E teacher for special-needs children reached out to Phoenix country station KMLE to share one student’s love of Brad Paisley’s songs. The upshot: high school sophomore Bailey Kleinhans, whose impromptu in-class rendition of “Beat This Summer” sparked the chain of events, has received a personal video invitation to be Brad’s guest and to sing for him when Brad’s tour rolls into town on July 13th. Check out the full story and video, online here, at Radio.com, with additional reporting by local CBS TV affiliate KPHO, online here.
  • US Weekly caught up with Carrie Underwood and hubby Mike Fisher, who says that he gives his wife plenty of space to be creative and do her thing when she’s in work mode, as Carrie said of the progress on her upcoming album: “I’ve been writing quite a bit, it’s exciting! It definitely has a different sound. There are some thematic things that are quite different. I love strong women. So I want things that I can get on stage and just feel empowered.”
  • Very happy wishes to The Henningsens’ lead singer Clara Henningsen, who celebrates her first wedding anniversary this Sunday, May 4th! The Henningsens, by the way, will be making a return visit to play the Grand Ole Opry next week, May 6th. Visit Opry.com for tickets and information!
