  • In other Kenny Chesney news, the man who is already North America’s top ticket-seller of the 21st Century — WOW! — is competing with five other artists nominated for the first annual Eventful Fans’ Choice Award for Best Concert Tour of the Year. Announced this week, Chesney is competing with Madonna, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, and The Police, with the winner to be revealed at the reception for Billboard magazine’s annual Touring Awards on November 20th. Fans can choose their favorite touring artist online at eventful.com/fanschoice. Voting is underway now through 2pm, PT on November 19th!
  • Congratulations to Alan Jackson and Brad Paisley, who shared honors as Songwriter/Artist of the Year this past Sunday at the annual awards presented by the Nashville Songwriters Association International!
  • Kristy Lee Cook hits the video airwaves on Monday with the GAC debut of “15 Minutes of Shame.” It’s the first hit single — and climbing the radio charts now — from her recently released album, Why Wait.
  • Brooks & Dunn have the most-popular new record on country radio this week with “Cowgirls Don’t Cry.” It’s the fourth single — following “Put a Girl in It,” “God Must Be Busy,” and “Proud of the House We Built” — all from the duo’s latest album, Cowboy Town.
  • As the excitement heats up for The 42nd Annual CMA Awards next month, look for Jake Owen and Chuck Wicks, along with former Miss Tennessee, Ashley Eicher, as they co-host the daily, five-minute webisode series, The Countdown to Country Music’s Biggest Night.
