MORE GOOD STUFF…with Kenny, Carrie, Sara, Kix, Ronnie, and Martina!

  • Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood are among the guests joining Oprah Winfrey for a special country episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show, set for this Tuesday, April 14th! Check local listings or visit the Oprah site to find the time and station in your area at oprah.com/locallistings.
  • Sara Evans recently got a cool shout-out from Josh Turner in an issue of First magazine, where Josh was featured on the “Sweet Talk” page, in a feature called “5 Reasons Women Make Life So Good.” He cites Sara as an inspiration, praising her as a singer and artist, and also for her personal candor. “Sara’s never afraid to talk about her faith or her family” or “be honest and say what’s on her mind,” he said. “Sara has always just been herself” and “never been one to shy away from what’s right.” Keep your ears peeled for some great new music from Sara later this year, and if you haven’t grabbed her Greatest Hits album, treat yourself and get one today!
  • To be found in the “hilarious coincidence” file…superduo Brooks & Dunn are currently featured in smile-provoking print ads for M&M’s chocolate candy, where Kix and Ronnie have been turned into little blue and green M&M’s — with all the distinguishing characteristics you might expect from the guys. Be on the lookout for the great ads…incidentally, Ronnie is green, and Kix is the blue M&M. We make the distinction because the always fabulous Martina McBride was recently featured in US magazine, as they ran a list of Martina’s “25 Things You Don’t Know About Me,” in which number eleven happened to be “I think blue M&M’s are wrong.” Kix, we’re sure it’s nothing personal. Martina’s new album, Shine, is in stores now and features the first smash single, “Ride,” while B&D have cranked out four big hits from their Cowboy Town disc, which includes “God Must Be Busy,” “Put a Girl in It,” “Proud of the House We Built,” and the duo’s original version of “Cowgirls Don’t Cry.”
