  • Congratulations to Carrie Underwood, whose “Just a Dream” is the nation’s number-one country single again for a second week! The bittersweet beauty of the song is something Carrie has always found emotional…and even more so in the stories that she hears. “Somebody wanted me to dedicate the song to the family of a fallen soldier,” at a show one night, Carrie recalls, adding, “That’s when it’s kind of like I have to keep myself from breaking down and crying in the middle of the song, just because that’s when it’s real…and somebody out there has lived it, and they’re listening to you right now.” “Just a Dream” is from Carrie’s current album, Carnival Ride, which also includes three other number-one hits, with “All-American Girl,” “So Small,” and “Last Name.”
  • Happy birthday to Miranda Lambert, who celebrates her big day on November 10th! Miranda is on the charts now with her beautiful single, “More Like Her,” which follows “Famous in a Small Town” and “Gunpowder & Lead” as one more big hit from her award-winning album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
