MORE GOOD STUFF…with Kellie and Jake!

  • Kellie Pickler is well known for her love of animals, and as part of a special initiative in honor of February as Cat Appreciation Month, Kellie and Fresh Step litter are raising money for the ASPCA (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). Fresh Step partnered with Kellie and fashion designer Geren Ford to create a limited-edition “Kitty Crooner” sweater with a look that celebrates Kellie’s country roots, and kitty Kellie fans interested in showing their cat pride will be able to purchase the sweater, while supplies last, on this page at ASPCAOnlineStore.com, with 100 percent of the proceeds to benefit the ASPCA. But you don’t even need to make a purchase to help out at facebook.com/freshstep, where you’re invited to upload a photo of yourself in your favorite cat-themed clothing, or use the online app to “clothe” your photo in one of four specially designed digital cat sweaters, including the “Kitty Crooner.” The Fresh Step team will donate $1 to the ASPCA for every photo posted through March 15th of this year, up to $100,000! And you’ll have yet another chance to do something good for the ASPCA at CharityBuzz.com/ASPCA, where now through February 14th, you can bid on Kellie’s own autographed “Kitty Crooner” sweater, together with two tickets to an upcoming concert, a Kellie meet-and-greet at the show, and a signed copy of her brand-new album, 100 Proof. Check out the respective web pages for complete details!
  • And of course, Kellie Pickler is celebrating an album release this week! 100 Proof is in stores now, and following her appearance on this morning’s Good Morning America, Kellie will be supporting the album with a trip to the West Coast for a performance on the syndicated Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Friday! Check your local listings or visit EllenTV.com to find it in your area!
  • After heavy rains and safety concerns forced the postponement of Jake Owen‘s annual charity concert this past December at Holman Stadium in his hometown of Vero Beach, Florida, it was confirmed this week that the show has been rescheduled for April 7th at the Citrus Bowl/Billy Livings Field at Vero Beach High School. Jake said, “I am so excited to announce the new Concert date. I apologize to everyone that was inconvenienced by the rescheduling of the Concert. I want to thank you all for your patience during this process. We have worked as quickly as we could to make this announcement, but we needed to make sure that we kept the Concert in Vero Beach, at a venue that was available and would accommodate the sold-out crowd.” The show is a highlight of the annual Mardy’s Tennis & Jake’s Music Fest, staged by Jake and his good friend, fellow Vero Beach native and professional tennis player Mardy Fish. The event benefits children’s programs supported by the Mardy Fish Foundation and the Jake Owen Foundation. For more details, check out the full announcement on Jake’s website here.
