- Look for Carrie Underwood on the cover of the December issue of InStyle magazine, as Carrie chats about life, career, fashion, and her marriage to hubby Mike Fisher. Among the things Carrie shares in the feature: her New Year’s resolution is already lined up, as she tells the magazine that fortunately she doesn’t have to try to quit doing anything, but she is resolved in 2011 to focus on becoming “a better person in my relationships with family and friends.” Check out the full feature, on sale now.
- And speaking of Carrie Underwood, after recently becoming the first country artist to win the American Music Awards honor for Favorite Country Album for each of her first three albums — this year for Play On — and earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for “Temporary Home,” Carrie is up for six honors at tonight’s American Country Awards in Las Vegas. But you, the fan, still have time to let your voice be heard for Carrie and all the nominees in yet another award show! Time is running out to cast your votes for the People’s Choice Awards 2011, where Carrie is a triple-nominee, up for Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Country Artist, and Favorite TV Guest Star (for How I Met Your Mother). - Hunky hitmaker Chuck Wicks has found himself in very elite company as MSN.com’s Glo recently featured Chuck among its list of the World’s Most Eligible Bachelors. The tally of 32 hot-list gents included such international royalty as Britain’s Prince Harry and Sweden’s Prince Carl Phillip amid such stars as George Clooney, Jake Gyllenhaal, James Franco, Usher, New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, and tennis pro James Blake. Chuck is brand new at radio with the great groove of his latest single, “Old School.”
- Huge congratulations to the always fabulous Miranda Lambert, who sang her latest hit, “Only Prettier” on last week’s CBS GRAMMY nomination TV special and wrapped up the evening with a collection of GRAMMY nods that included Best Female Country Vocal Performance (“The House That Built Me”), Best Country Collaboration with Vocals (“Bad Angel,” with Dierks Bentley and Jamey Johnson), and Best Country Album (Revolution). In addition, “The House That Built Me” earned GRAMMY nods for Best Country Song and all-genre Song of the Year for songwriters Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin. Miranda is also a big nominee for tonight’s American Country Awards, where she’s up for five awards!
