MORE GOOD STUFF…with Alan, Miranda, Brad, and Chris!

  • Hey, when you’ve sold more then 50 million albums, you must be doing something right, and Alan Jackson is about to get it right again with a new album, Freight Train, rolling your way on March 30th! The album’s first single — “It’s Just That Way” — is climbing the charts fast, and it’s just a taste of good things to come on a collection that also features Alan singing with Lee Ann Womack on a Vern Gosdin classic called “Till the End.” By the way, the digital single for “It’s Just That Way” is at your favorite online music store…right now!
  • On CMT sister-station CMT Pure, Chris Young is number-one on the network’s fan-voted 12 Pack Countdown this week with the very cool and uplifting video for his new single, “The Man I Want to Be.” This week marked the release of the video for sale, so all you Chris-fans can log on and get your copy while you’re picking up your new Alan Jackson single! And for that matter, you might as well get Chris’ latest album, also called The Man I Want to Be — it’s chock full of great tunes, including his sexy smash, “Gettin’ You Home.”
  • And while Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert have been the toast of the town on year-end “best of” lists from TIME, Entertainment Weekly, and lots of others, they were also featured on the cover of Music City’s weekly paper, the Nashville Scene in the Scene‘s 10th Annual Country Music Critics Poll. The survey of more than six dozen music writers from across the country ranked Brad and Miranda as country’s number-one male and female vocalists, respectively, as they topped chart after chart, including the year’s best albums, where Miranda’s Revolution got the top spot, followed immediately by Brad’s American Saturday Night. They both scored with multiple singles among the year’s best, with the top nods going to Miranda’s “White Liar” at number-one, with Brad’s smash “Welcome to the Future” only two notches behind her. And the powerhouse pair — who are currently on the road together on Brad’s American Saturday Night Tour — earned more accolades than we’ll list, but in the Artists of the Year category, Brad led the list, with Miranda right behind. Now if all that doesn’t make you want to buy the albums or see the show, we don’t know what will…except hearing the great music…and Brad and Miranda are both inside the Top 10 this week with “White Liar” and “American Saturday Night”! Check out Brad’s or Miranda’s websites for tour dates, and visit nashvillescene.com to see the complete poll results from last week’s issue.
