MORE GOOD STUFF…with Alan, Christian, Miranda, and…France!
- The French Association of Country Music has announced the winners of the 6th Annual French Country Music Awards, with Brad Paisley named Best Entertainer of the Year and also winning Best Song for “Online.” Among other winners, Sara Evans took home Best Female Vocalist of the Year honors, while Kenny Chesney and Reba McEntire won the Best Duo category for their collaboration on the song, “Every Other Weekend.” A complete list of winners and additional information is available on the FACM website at facm.free.fr.
- Remember the handsome actor featured in Carrie Underwood‘s video for her hit, “So Small”? That’s Christian Kane, and fans can look forward to hearing him on the radio down the road, since he’s one of the new artists on the Columbia Nashville label, home to such stars as Gretchen Wilson, Keith Anderson, and Montgomery Gentry. But for now, be on the lookout for Christian in the upcoming TNT series, Leverage, premiering in December. Just the other night, Christian was spotted in Los Angeles attending the Red Sox/Angels game with his Leverage co-star, Timothy Hutton.
- Watch for Alan Jackson as the cover feature in the new issue of Country Weekly, on sale this coming Monday. Check out Alan’s window on family, life, career…and turning the big 5-0! Alan is new on the charts this week with his song, “Country Boy.” It’s the third single, following back-to-back number-one hits with “Good Time” and “Small Town Southern Man,” all from his latest album, Good Time.
