  • On a holiday note, good guy Chris Young is sponsoring a Christmas tree, themed around his album, NEON, with a package of cool collectibles up for bids as part of the Hall of Trees event at Nashville’s Opryland Hotel. Proceeds from the winning bid will go to support Country Fans Care for St. Jude Kids, all in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. You can read more about it on this page on Chris’ website, where you can also download a coupon to visit the Hall of Trees, which could help raise even more money for St. Jude. The sponsor who generates the most coupon traffic earns a bonus donation for their charity! Check it out, and you can learn more about the Hall of Trees event and see all the trees and items up for bids online here.
  • And speaking of Chris Young, congratulations to Chris on winning a pair of awards at Monday’s second annual American Country Awards! The fan-voted honors saw Chris walk away with Single of the Year (for “Voices,” which he sang on the show), as well as Artist of the Year: Breakthrough Artist. Way to go, Chris!
