MORE GOOD STUFF TO FINISH THE YEAR…with Martina, Chuck, Miranda, Jake, and Many More!

  • Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride are just two of the amazing voices paired with Elvis‘ classic Christmas recordings on the red-hot holiday album, Elvis Presley Christmas Duets. Now YOU have a chance to share some of that same musical magic by creating an e-card recording of “Blue Christmas” pairing your voice with Elvis! Hear music, see the incredible Elvis/Martina “Blue Christmas” music video, and much more! Check it out at www.singwiththeking.com! And be sure to pick up the star-studded album, which features Sara Evans, Gretchen Wilson, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, Amy Grant, and more!
  • And speaking of Martina McBride, if you’re loving hearing “Ride,” the first single from Martina’s 2009 album, be on the lookout for the December 23rd release of the digital single at your favorite online music retailer!
  • Jake Owen already has a couple of hit songs under his belt, and he’s ready to help you be a hit at your next party as the “margarita connoisseur” talks music and adult-beverage tips in the “Merry Margaritas” feature in the December 29th issue of Country Weekly, on sale now. And speaking of tasty goodness, Jake’s new song, “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You,” is hot on the airwaves as the first single from his upcoming album, Easy Does It, in stores February 24th.
  • Congratulations to Montgomery Gentry, who have the nation’s number-one country single for a second week in a row with their smash, “Roll with Me.” Eddie and Troy are two-for-two now with “Roll with Me” marking the second single and second chart-topper from their Back When I Knew It All album. And arriving just in time for Christmas is the digital single remix of “Roll with Me,” featuring Colt Ford, available at online retailers on December 23rd.
  • Look for “Stealing Cinderella” hitmaker Chuck Wicks as he ushers in the New Year performing on the FOX News Channel’s U Party 2009, set to kick-off at 10pm, ET, on December 31st!
  • A big tip of the hat to Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, and Montgomery Gentry, who were tops in radio airplay in the year-end issues of music trade magazines Billboard and Radio & Records! According to their chart-year rankings, Carrie was the most-heard artist overall at country radio, while Brad was the top male, and Montgomery Gentry was the number-one duo!
  • Fun Tidbit: Brad Paisley‘s hit, “Waitin’ on a Woman,” got the nod from The Jonas Brothers’ Kevin Jonas as each of the brothers picked one song in the “My Favorite Songs” sidebar in the December 25th issue of Rolling Stone! “Waitin’ on a Woman,” by the way, is one of an incredible five number-one songs from Brad’s 5th Gear album — a great holiday gift! — which also has the chart-toppers “Ticks,” “Online,” “I’m Still a Guy,” and “Letter to Me.”
  • Miranda Lambert‘s well-known love and support for animals and animal charities moved online in a very cool way recently at www.searchwithmirandalambert.com, where fans and animal lovers everywhere can download a toolbar through which Internet searches can help generate donations to Miranda’s favorite animal charities and help users amass credits toward Miranda merchandise and other items. Check out the site for all the details!
  • You got to know them as the first season champs on CMT’s series, Can You Duet, and Caitlin & Will are getting ready to rock your country world in 2009! You can call Caitlin & Will at 615-823-5557 to hear a holiday greeting from them and also have a chance to get connected via your mobile phone to get the scoop on upcoming music and more!
  • The 35th Annual People’s Choice Awards have just announced that Carrie Underwood will be performing on the show, which will air January 7th (9pm, ET), on CBS. Carrie is a triple-nominee, up for Favorite Female Singer, Favorite Country Song (for “Last Name”), and Favorite Star 35 & Under.
