MORE FOR YOU…with Miranda, Chris, Tyler, and Carrie!

  • Among the nominees for Monday’s American Country Awards is the always-terrific Miranda Lambert, who’s up for four honors, including Touring Artist of the Year — and if you missed it, Miranda talked with us about that nomination in this recent story. Don’t miss the 2012 American Country Awards, airing December 10th, at 8pm, ET, on FOX.
  • Get-well wishes to Chris Young, who’s been forced to postpone his shows this weekend after being placed on doctor-ordered vocal rest. In a statement on Chris’ Facebook page, it was noted that the cancellations were for precautionary reasons and that the shows slated for December 6th, 7th, and 8th will be rescheduled and tickets honored for the new dates. In a statement, Chris wrote, “I hate to disappoint everybody but my voice is pretty ragged out. Thanks for understanding and I look forward to seeing y’all next year.”
  • Look for a “Who’s New” feature, and get to know “Hello Goodbye” singer Tyler Farr in the December 10th issue of Country Weekly, on sale now. And be sure to keep up with Tyler online at TylerFarr.com and on Twitter @tylerfarr!
  • Playing for the People, Near and Far: This week, three-time People’s Choice Awards nominee Carrie Underwood announced a run of international dates on the 2013 leg of her “Blown Away Tour,” with March dates in Ireland and England, as well as additional dates in Canada in May. Carrie will actually be on tour in Canada this weekend, and she’s not slowing down for the holidays with a string of eight more shows in the States, including her final tour date of the year on December 22nd in Sunrise, Florida. Visit CarrieUnderwoodOfficial.com for tour dates and much more — and if you’re a Carrie fan, time is growing short for you to cast your votes for Carrie for the People’s Choice Awards, where she’s up for Favorite Country Artist, as well as Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Album (for Blown Away). You can vote as as often as you like, online at PeoplesChoice.com, with voting in nearly all of this year’s categories continuing until the end of the day on December 13th.
