MIRANDA LAMBERT: Wins ACM Album Of The Year

Sunday night at the 52 Annual Academy Of Country Music Awards Miranda Lambert won Album Of The Year for her double album The Weight Of These Wings. This is Miranda’s 5th win in the category, dating back to her second album Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, since then Miranda has taken Album Of The Year for Revolution, Four The Record, Platinum and, now, The Weight Of These Wings. Miranda has won ACM Album Of The Year more than any other artist in the award show’s history. When accepting the ACM, Miranda simply shared “I just want to say thank you for letting me use my heartbreak and sharing it with me, and thanks to my daddy, Rick Lambert…who’s here tonight…for this beautiful title.” Frank Liddell, Eric Masse and Glenn Worf who all produced The Weight Of These Wings joined Miranda on stage, with Frank saying “I just want to thank Miranda for being willing to look deep into her soul and bringing her life into her art, and guys…any young song writers out there…tell the truth, it’s more interesting.” Glenn, with the exit music playing in the background, added “I want to tell you all at the end of the day the best music is the music that’s made from the heart, and Miranda brought her heart to this record.”
