Miranda Lambert has recorded one of her most personal and beautiful songs with her latest hit, the gorgeous “More Like Her” — and while the song may be about a relationship left behind, one thing Miranda knows is that when it comes to real-life relationship advice, her mom is tops. “She lives it every day,” Miranda says. “My parents actually work together, live together…did everything together, and they made it work. So I feel like I have a really good example of what love’s supposed to be like.” And that example, along with her mom’s candor, provide great guidance because Miranda says her mom “doesn’t sugar-coat anything.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
- “More Like Her” is the latest amazing single from Miranda’s award-winning Crazy Ex-Girlfriend album that also features her hits, “Gunpowder & Lead” and “Famous in a Small Town.”
Miranda Lambert says her mom is great at relationship advice. (:42)
“It’s funny, because my parents actually work together, live together…did everything together, and they made it work. So I feel like I have a really good example of what love’s supposed to be like. I mean, they have their problems; don’t get me wrong. But that it can be…you know, my mom’s a perfect person to give me advice because she lives it every day, you know? And so when I do have relationship troubles, and…you know, she’s really…my mom’s really good about…I guess she’s probably where I get a lot of my opinionated side of me because she’ll say if I’m wrong, I’m wrong, you know, if I’m in a fight with my boyfriend or whatever, she’ll be like, ‘Well, you’re the one that’s wrong this time.’ And she doesn’t sugar-coat anything. And so she’s definitely a good person to give advice on relationships.”
