MIRANDA LAMBERT: The Supportive Girlfriend

Miranda Lambert earned a whopping six ACM Award nominations earlier this month, and while she got to hear the announcements in person, it wasn’t because she had any particular ACM expectations. Miranda tells us she was actually just there to be a “supportive girlfriend” to Blake Shelton, who was revealing the nominees along with Reba McEntire. So, when Miranda heard her name called again and again, it just blew her away. (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

MIRANDA LAMBERT: The Supportive Girlfriend  Miranda Lambert talks about her six ACM Award nominations. (:38)
“I was at the CBS Early Show with Blake, just bein’ there, supportive girlfriend, you know? Not only did I get to hear the nominations in person, but Reba McEntire and my own boyfriend were the ones callin’ out my name. And it was, like, unbelievable to me because, I guess the two most shocking to me were…well, the one shock, most shocking to me really was Song of the Year. ‘Cause I just, I don’t…I didn’t think I had a Song of the Year, top song, ’cause I always think those are inspirational, and you know, have some message. And ‘White Liar’ was not the one I thought would be. ‘House That Built Me’ is, you know? But, I mean, I was just shocked and surprised and so honored to have six nominations. I never would have thought that. I was just hopin’ for one.”
