MIRANDA LAMBERT: More Like Miranda

There’s a lot to appreciate about Miranda Lambert, and one thing about her: she’s real. So when she meets fans at her shows, and moms with their daughters tell her, “We just appreciate you bein’ a good example,” Miranda thinks she knows what they mean. Now, she’s the first to admit that some things she does might not seem to set a perfect example — “I mess up a lot,” she says — but Miranda appreciates the sentiment and believes that what they’re saying is really about character. “I think just bein’ self-confident and realizin’ mistakes and movin’ on is what they mean by ‘Thanks for bein’ a good example.'” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • Miranda has another great hit on the radio right now with the beautiful “More Like Her,” yet another crowd-pleaser from her Crazy Ex-Girlfriend album that also includes “Gunpowder & Lead” and “Famous in a Small Town.”

MIRANDA LAMBERT: More Like Miranda  Miranda Lambert thinks she knows what fans mean when they tell her they appreciate her example. (:39)
“When moms are with their daughters at my concerts, they come up to me and say, ‘We just appreciate you bein’ a good example.’ I cuss in some of my songs, and you know, I drink a beer, and I have a tattoo, and that’s probably not the best example ever, and I’m not by any means tryin’ to say that I’m this great example for kids or anything, but what they mean by that, to me, is that I’m confident and strong in who I am. And no matter what I do, I think I’d be this way. It’s not about tryin’ to be a good example for anybody or — I mean, I’d love to be, but I mess up a lot, you know? But I think just bein’ self-confident and realizin’ mistakes and movin’ on is what they mean by ‘Thanks for bein’ a good example.'”
