MIRANDA LAMBERT: Keeping Her Feet on the Ground

Miranda Lambert‘s career has continued to soar with hits and touring and awards, but that doesn’t mean she’s any less grounded. In fact, she sounds like a lot of us, when she says, “I’m not afraid to admit that I’m wrong. I mean, I hate it,” she laughs, but Miranda feels that staying open to opinions and being able to accept constructive criticism is just part of trying to be a good person. She says, “When the people who matter the most to you can tell somebody else about you, ‘They’re a really great person,’ that’s a big deal.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • Another big deal is Miranda being up for two CMA Award nominations — Female Vocalist of the Year and Single of the Year for her Top 10 smash, “Gunpowder & Lead.” Miranda is on the charts now with her gorgeous new song, “More Like Her,” the third hit from her acclaimed album, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.
  • Be sure to tune-in to see Miranda when she performs on the CMA Awards show, November 12th, on ABC!

MIRANDA LAMBERT: Keeping Her Feet on the Ground  Miranda Lambert strives to be the kind of person people respect. (:35)
“I’m not afraid to admit that I’m wrong. I mean, I hate it (laughs), and probably my band would disagree ’cause they want to tell me I’m wrong all the time, and I don’t take it. But, you know, I really think that bein’…part of bein’ a good person is bein’ able to, you know, have confrontation and to be open-minded to people’s opinions about, ‘Hey, you’re not actin’ right; you need to straighten up,’ you know, ’cause that’s part of it, I mean, and when you’re in this business, everybody has an opinion about who you are and how you are, but to me, when the people that matter the most to you can tell somebody else about you, ‘They’re a really great person,’ that’s a big deal, you know?”
