Miranda Lambert embarked on her first-ever headlining tour this year, with her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour…and while Miranda confesses that she was feeling the pressure of being a headliner, she’s thrilled that the tour has been great and that this year overall has already become “more than a dream come true.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)
- Miranda logs a third big week at number-one on the radio with “The House That Built Me”! It’s her second consecutive chart-topper, alongside “White Liar,” which last week won the CMT Music Award for Female Video of the Year! Both songs are on Miranda’s ACM Album of the Year winner, Revolution.
Miranda Lambert talks about headlining her first tour. (:41)
“People have just really showed up and bought tickets, and you know, it just makes me so happy. It’s so much pressure goin’, ‘Okay, it’s my name on the ticket, so it’s my name if they show up, and it’s my name if they don’t!’ You know? But it’s been awesome for us as a band and crew to really get to step up a level after everything we’ve learned over the last five years from everybody else. And also we’re doin’ Lilith Fair, so we’ll be doin’ fairs and festivals and Lilith Fair all summer and then back again in the fall doin’ more dates on our own. So, it’s gonna be a great year though. I mean, it feels good to go into the summer, the busiest time. I get to go in this year with knowin’ all the accolades I’ve already accomplished this year, and it’s just more than a dream come true.”
