It’s tough to attend a fair or festival without partaking of some of the concession foods, and if you ask Miranda Lambert about her favorites, she admits that she loves anything fried, but confesses a special weakness for funnel cakes. In fact, she once mentioned it during a show and had a wave of funnel cakes turn up on stage, courtesy of kind fans. While Miranda tries to keep from going overboard on the festival treats, she loves a corn dog, and her tip on indulging: “If you’re gonna do it, might as well do it big.” (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

“Oh, my gosh…every fried thing on the face of the planet (laughs). I guess funnel cakes, but I haven’t had one in years, like, two years probably. But I said from stage one time that I loved funnel cakes, and like, seven, showed up on the stage. And I think I ate, like…I was about to get a trainer, and so I think I ate, like, two of ’em, just ’cause I was just blowin’ it out — one last hurrah (laughs).”

“Yeah, oh, and corn dogs — footlong, though. Don’t go for the small one. Go for the footlong. If you’re gonna do it, might as well do it big.”
