Intro Audio for Miranda Lambert’s “Bluebird”

Hey y’all, it’s Miranda Lambert and you’re about to hear my new song “Bluebird” off my new album “Wildcard.”

Story Behind the Song Audio for Miranda Lambert’s “Bluebird”

“Bluebird” was written from a poem. And, Luke Dick had the idea and he sent it to me in a text late one night and I was like, ‘Please save this song for me. It’s so cool and I want to be part of it.’ And, I just love what it says. I think it’s very poetic; I think it tells a story and I love the feeling that I get when I say—I love the part in “Bluebird” where I say, “I keep a light on in my soul and a bluebird in my heart” because it actually is a reminder that every time I sing that lyric that that’s what I need to do. And, you know, I hope this song gives people the same feeling that it gives Luke and Natalie and I. Um, it just feels like a reminder to stay positive and that, you know, there’s a brighter day if you keep the right outlook.

Outro Audio for Miranda Lambert’s “Bluebird”

Hey y’all, it’s Miranda Lambert and you just heard “Bluebird” off my new album “Wildcard.”

NASHVILLE, Tenn.Miranda Lambert’s hotly anticipated seventh studio album Wildcard will arrive Nov. 1 on Vanner Records/RCA Records Nashville.

“When people listen to this record, I want them to know that I see them and hear them,” said Lambert. “I feel you, because I’m just a girl from East Texas, writing about all the things that go on in my world and in the worlds of people around me. I want people to get along, you know, just be who you are, own it and move on from the moments you couldn’t live in.”

Her first collaboration with producer Jay Joyce, Wildcard moves from fraught, taut rock & roll to gentle folk, classic Wurlitzer country and a bit of funky gospel with Lambert’s signature wit and tongue-in-cheek humor permeating throughout.

The Grammy Award winner celebrated today’s announcement by releasing the latest peek inside the project – “Bluebird,” which she co-wrote with Luke Dick and Natalie Hemby. The album also features “infectious” (Billboard), Top 25 lead single “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” as well as recently-released “foot-stompin’ barnburner” (NPR) “Locomotive” and “crunchy, frisky jam” (Stereogum) “Mess with My Head.” Additional album details will be revealed soon.

Listeners can pre-order Wildcard and pre-add the album to their collections now. “It All Comes Out in the Wash,” “Locomotive,” “Mess with My Head,” and “Bluebird” are also available on all streaming platforms and digital retailers.

Lambert will hit the road for the Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour this fall, with special guests Maren Morris and Elle King, as well as Pistol Annies, Tenille Townes, Ashley McBryde and Caylee Hammack on various dates (details below). Tickets are on sale now.
