MIRANDA LAMBERT: Bettin’ the Winners

audio

Long before Miranda Lambert became an 11-time ACM award winner and a five-time nominee this year — up for Entertainer of the Year, among other honors — Miranda was just like a lot of country fans across the nation: she’d tune-in for all the great music and fun of the award shows and make her own predictions for the winners! (AUDIO INFO BELOW)

  • While Miranda was just making her predictions, YOU can actually help pick the winners! Fan voting is underway now to help choose this year’s ACM Entertainer of the Year and New Artist of the Year! Go to VoteACM.com for complete rules and to cast your votes!
  • Along with Entertainer of the Year, Miranda’s nominations for this weekend’s ACM Awards include Female Vocalist of the Year, as well as Single Record of the Year and twice for Song of the Year (as artist and as co-writer with Blake Shelton), for her number-one single, “Over You.”
  • Look for Miranda as both a performer and presenter when the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards airs from Las Vegas, this Sunday, April 7th, at 8pm, ET, on CBS!
  • Miranda is currently hot on the airwaves with her big hit single, “Mama’s Broken Heart,” the latest favorite from last year’s ACM Album of the Year, Miranda’s Four the Record.
  • Be watching for Miranda in concert with Dierks Bentley on their Locked & Reloaded Tour! Check out MirandaLambert.com for a show near you!
  • Miranda Lambert is getting into footwear! Well, in more ways than one, with the announcement that she’ll have her own brand of women’s footwear, including casual, dress, sandals, and boots. Expected in early 2014, the line of shoes — a Miranda exclusive with Rich Footwear Group — is an exciting venture for Miranda, who says, “From country to rock n roll my goal is to style shoes that fit your inner outlaw. Being involved in the creative part and hands on development of my footwear brand is a dream come true.”

audio  As a fan, Miranda Lambert loved to watch the big award shows. (:12)
“Yes, I used to watch all the award shows. I would get a yellow tablet and write down all the nominees and circle who I thought was gonna win. And sit in front of the TV and, like, bet myself on if I was right or not.” (laughs)
