MIRANDA LAMBERT: #1 Nominee!

A big tip of the hat to Miranda Lambert, who walked away from this morning’s CMA Awards nominations as the most-nominated artist with a whopping nine nods! Miranda ties her 2010 record for CMA nominations, which was already the most for any female artist in CMA history. This year, Miranda’s nominations include Entertainer of the Year; Female Vocalist; Album of the Year for Platinum; two nominations for Musical Event — for “Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie Underwood and “We Were Us” with Keith Urban; and two nominations for Music Video of the Year — for “Automatic” and “Somethin’ Bad” with Carrie. In addition, “Automatic” is up for Single of the Year, as well as Song of the Year for Miranda and her fellow songwriters, Nicolle Galyon and Natalie Hemby.

  • With Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood returning as co-hosts for the seventh straight year, The 48th Annual CMA Awards will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday, November 5th, at 8pm, ET, on ABC.
