Maren Morris is one of the hottest acts in country music right now, but this didn’t happen over night. She’s been working on it for awhile, dating back to her time in her home state of Texas. Things started rolling when she arrived in Nashville, and that it’s been kind of a rocket ship ride since. Maren’s HERO album last year was one of the best in country music, and all the people that put Maren on any of the “artists to watch in 2016” type lists, were proven right. Maren continues to take great steps in her career as her second single “80s Mercedes” continues it’s climb up the music charts. With all this going on now, her days of just getting started are still very fresh in her mind, so if she could take a page out of Brad Paisley‘s song book, and write a letter to a younger Maren…who was just starting out…her main piece of advice would be “be patient.”
Maren Morris on the piece of advice she’d give to her younger self when it comes to her music career. (:11)
“I would just tell my slightly younger self just, ‘be patient and wait out the storm and know that it gets better. It’s gonna get good, just wait. (laugh)”
