One of the things artists have to think about when recording music is…they can do this in the studio, but can they also do this live in concert. Maren Morris knows the feeling. While she’s been making music on her own for years, she released her first album, Hero, last month. Through the process of making the music for it, she thought about those earlier lesson of making sure she can take the song from studio to stage. Maren made sure the songs from Hero, including her single “80s Mercedes,” were ready to rock the crowds while she’s opening for Keith Urban on his ripCORD world tour.

“I’ve had those moments too, where I’ve realized in the studio we have written the song in way too low of a key, and then trying to do a live…it just, you have to figure something else out but, it’s like you’ve already recorded it though and so is permanent, it’s forever. But I’ve learned from those mistakes over the years.”
