Maren Morris is a singer and a songwriter, but she admits that she hasn’t been writing many songs so far this year, because she been too busy singing songs, like her new single “I Could Use A Love Song,” all over the place. Between her own headlining tour, and getting ready to hit the road with Sam Hunt, oh, and accepting ACM and Grammy awards, Maren has other stuff on her plate. But she’s really looking forward to sitting down and penning some new tunes. While she knows all the amazing things that have happened to her will somehow work their way into her song writing, Maren isn’t sure yet just exactly how that will happen. She shared “I never know what is going to come out, or what I’ve even been stocking up on emotional until I write that first song, and open the floodgates. “It’s hard for me to answer, because I haven’t gotten into the writing room yet, and I never know what is going to come out, or what I’ve even been stocking up on emotional until I write that first song, and open the floodgates. But, I know everything I’ve gone through the last year of my life is going to come out in these songs, so I’m excited…sort of as the person in the room, and also just someone’s ears listening to the music for the first time where my heart is at, (laugh) musically.”
