“Out of necessity, I had to do a couple of zoom writes in the pandemic. And we couldn’t be in the room with our co-writers during 2020 when I started writing for this record. But yeah, you know, I didn’t love zoom, but we made it work and I actually wrote one of the songs, “Good Friends” on a zoom session. And you know, we just kind of like hunkered down and I wrote with like, my people that you know, were kind of quarantined together. Or we would quarantine before a co-write, so we knew that it was safe to go into the room. Because you know, it’s hard for me to write over a computer, I really have to have like the energy of the instruments in my ear holes. So that’s the only way I can feel kind of inspired to create a melody as a singer. But yeah, it’s like you make do and sometimes like greatness can come from it. But I wrote a bit in Nashville, I wrote a bit in Hawaii with my husband and my producer, Greg, Kirsten. And so yeah, that was a first, a Hawaii co-write. Yeah, I’m trying to think, those are the big differences on writing for this album was just getting creative with how you write and yeah, some fun new locations.”
