MAREN MORRIS: Getting Over Preshow Jitters

audio

CMA Award nominee Maren Morris admits that even she can still get a little nervous before hitting the stage for a show. While the nerves hit before she’s in front of the crowd, Maren says that “once I get up there and the music like the first note hits it all sort of melts away and I just connect with the song and I connect with the audience and it doesn’t feel as nerve racking as it was.” She’s been getting plenty of practice overcoming her nerves while on the road with Keith Urban‘s ripCORD World Tour, and heading in front of crowds to sing her CMA nominated song “My Church,” along with her new single “80s Mercedes.” If you want to see Maren overcome her nerves in concert, check out her tour dates on Maren Morris dot com, or just click right HERE

“Getting back on stage, right before I get really nervous, but once I get up there and the music like the first note hits it all sort of melts away and I just connect with the song and I connect with the audience and it doesn’t feel as nerve racking as it was, but I think the lead up to the actual show I definitely have some, I think it’s a good anxiety good nerves. It just gets the adrenalin going and it makes for a more energetic show for sure, but once I sort of lock into just playing every night and getting more seasoned at it, it will feel like second nature to me, but I think, you know I’ll always have a little bit of nerves before I walk on a stage.”
