Maren Morris‘ debut album HERO is coming out on June 3rd, and all the work she’s put in to get to this point is starting to pay off. Maren understands that having a career in music takes a lot of forces moving in the right direction all at once, and she feels fortunate that things are going the right way for her. She jokes that all those “5 AM lobby calls to go sit on a Delta flight” seem worth it when she hears “My Church” on the radio.

“Getting to hear ‘My Church’ on the radio, and having people in the audience know the words and not just the words to ‘My Church’ but other songs on my EP, and you know, it’s easily…I don’t know, I’ve had so many friends that have done this, or tried to do this too, and it just doesn’t hit or the timing is wrong, but I feel really lucky to have made this record that I am so proud of the fact that it’s actually reaching people in a very personal way…it makes all the the 5 AM lobby calls to go sit on a Delta flight worth it.”
