After 50 years of making music, Loretta Lynn is still a joy to hear, and she’s joined by Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow on a new version of Loretta’s classic, “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” the debut single from the all-star album, Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn. The song, which will be available to radio stations this week, is getting an exclusive sneak preview right now on Billboard.com. The digital single will be available for sale on September 28…and the album, releasing November 9th, will include not only Sheryl and Miranda, but also a big list of artists singing classic Loretta hits. The participating artists — all hand-picked by Loretta — come from throughout the music world and also include Steve Earle, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Martina McBride, Allison Moorer, Paramore, Reba featuring The Time Jumpers, Carrie Underwood, The White Stripes, Lucinda Williams, Gretchen Wilson, and Lee Ann Womack.
