“They’ve been big fans for a long time, and, I mean, obviously, since I was born, I guess, but they’ve been big fans since I moved to Nashville and big supporters — and there was a moment there when I told ’em that I was droppin’ out of college to move to Nashville that my parents didn’t see eye to eye with me. You know, they wanted me to finish college, and they wanted me to, you know, maybe pursue something a little less lofty. But after a while, I think they realized I wasn’t gonna budge, and I was gonna keep doin’ my thing, and they became very supportive. And I think they were all along; I think they were just concerned, as most parents would be.”
